Working from Brac Informatics Centre (DR & Data Centre) on Cayman
Brac - we are making spaces for Companies and providing Server
slots, Desk top Work Stations etc as fast as we can - so the in
depth longer term recovery is underway.
As someone who in 29 years military service, has done Disaster &
Humanitarian Relief (from the "frontline" to the HQ Command &
Control level) around the world, sadly sometimes in even more
harrowing circumstances than Grand Cayman - it is vital, however
cold and callous it may seem , that some organisation and/or team is
dedicated to making some hard rational clear headed strategic
decisions, whilst other teams dedicate themselves to the immediate
Search & Rescue and Post Disaster Relief & Stabilisation Work.
I have been accused of being somewhat cold blooded - I am not - my
friends and colleagues are in GCM and I will be there with them on
Mon - but I do try to think clearly and logically with my head
rather than my heart, even when all around seems like hell.
We will all get through this and I am positive we can make an even
better set of Cayman Islands - right now the world needs to know
also that the other 2 Islands in the Cayman Islands - Cayamn Brac
and Little Cayman are rising to carry as much of every load that
they can - if anyone can do it - Brackers will - presently our
population is almost double on the Brac than it was last week - and
if we can bring some comfort and love and security to those families
who have come across, we will do so unreservedly.

Clean up from Hurricane Ivan is underway at the Divi Tiara Beach Resort
in Cayman Brac, and the resort and staff looks forward to welcoming
back guests once the Cayman Government lifts its restrictions for
non-resident entry.
The Divi Tiara Beach Resort sustained damage to its dive pier and beach
bar as a result of Hurricane Ivan. Resort management reports that
repairs are moving quickly. Three custom dive boats, including the
newest ^?Brac Fever,^? are operational and ready for diving.
Divi Tiara general manager, Max Hillier, credits his remarkable staff
for the quick recovery, stating "Divi Tiara is so blessed to have a
team of people so instrumental in the protection and restoration of our
slice of paradise."
Resort staff went on their first dives today, and report that the
visibility is good.
The resort is open in a limited capacity to house residents displaced
by the Hurricane, and will re-open to guests soon.
